Help JACK BARAU, the pirate petrel, save his species! Wander across the island in search of lost fledglings. Each night, artificial lights disorient the Barau’s petrels, leaving the young birds at the mercy of lurking rats and stray cats. Gather a fragile but hopeful parade, and lead them to the ocean—where they can finally take flight toward freedom. JACK BARAU is a poetic, quirky and heartfelt 2D puzzle-platformer. Inspired by a poignant ecological reality, it puts you in the feathers of an old pirate with a tender heart, the last hope for a critically endangered species. Guide Jack with precision through diverse environments. Find and protect the fledglings in a growing line of life. Avoid deadly predators and nighttime hazards. Trigger traps and activate switches to overcome obstacles. Explore a stylized world full of humor, emotion, and environmental awareness. Designed to resonate with players of all ages, JACK BARAU is a touching adventure — a loving tribute to the real-life Barau’s petrel, a rare seabird native to the highlands of Réunion Island, and to all those working to save it.
